More Good Going On

Beth Pembrook

Can you share an experience that has encouraged you in your faith? And/or an experience that has helped you face a challenge?

After losing Travis, I wondered how I would continue moving forward. The prayers, encouragement, and love from our Influence family reminded me that I wasn’t walking alone. Watching God continue to grow the ministry through one of the hardest seasons of my life has been an incredible testimony of His faithfulness.

How has the Influence ministry impacted your life?

Influence has shown me that God is still changing lives every single day. I’ve watched people find hope, begin reading the Bible for the first time, ask difficult questions, and build lasting friendships centered on Christ. Serving alongside others has strengthened my own faith and continually reminds me that God is always working.

What is something you have learned through a study or service that you now apply to your daily life?

One lesson that continually challenges me is that our identity is found in Christ—not in our success, our failures, our occupation, or what others think about us. When I remember who I am in Christ, it changes how I lead, serve, parent, work, and respond to life’s challenges.

How have you been encouraged to share Christ with others?

Influence has taught me that sharing Christ is about how we live every day. Whether I’m at a cattle show, helping at our booth, leading a Bible study, visiting with someone in the barn, or simply encouraging a friend who is struggling, every conversation is an opportunity to point people to Jesus. I’ve learned that people are often looking for hope, and sometimes all it takes is being willing to listen, love them where they are, and share what Christ has done in my own life. If we faithfully love God, love people, and are available for Him to use us, He will open doors to make an eternal impact.
